River Management and Weed Control Workshop

An opportunity to learn about best-practice management of the waterways on your property including practical skills for willow control, riverbank weed control and native revegetation, and methods for erosion control and prevention. Learn about how better management of our local waterways can improve water quality and benefit iconic Tasmanian threatened species such as the giant freshwater crayfish.

  • Giant freshwater crayfish expert, Todd Walsh, will be attending with a live crayfish.
  • Learn about best-practice weed control and native revegetation techniques from Natural State's Matt Rose.
  • Take a walk along the river and hear from our host landholders about their river restoration experiences.

DIRECTIONS: From Branxholm, turn onto Warrentinna Road and continue for 11.3 km. From Winnaleah, turn left off of Hardman's Lane onto Warrentinna Road and continue for 5.3 km.
