Water Project Coordinator

Launceston, Tasmania

  • Fixed term contract commencing from June 2026 for a period of twelve months
  • Coordinator Level 2 – 3 ($89,930 -$92,660) exclusive of superannuation paid as per superannuation guarantee levy

The Water Project Coordinator will be a part of a team responsible for supporting delivery of the North Esk Wetlands Project and the update to the Water Quality Improvement Plan.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing project delivery by monitoring progress against deliverables, tracking timelines and coordinating reporting to ensure projects are completed on time and meet agreed objectives.
  • Experience in or capability to quickly learn field-based monitoring or surveys of flora and/or fauna techniques and practical application of native restoration practices such as revegetation and invasive weed management.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to different audiences, work effectively with stakeholders, and coordinate meetings and input from a range of people.
  • An ability to work effectively in a small, multi-disciplinary team that responds to various demands and manages multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Hold and maintain a current Driver Licence with ability to travel throughout the region as required.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated successful project management experience, have excellent communication skills and be a strong relationship builder. An understanding of working with stakeholders within the NRM sphere is desirable, as well as experience or willingness to learn field-based monitoring.
